The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) seeks a Lecturer for Auburn’s online Bachelor of Computer Science degree program. The typical teaching load will be two 3-credit hour courses per 8-week online term (5 terms per year). This is a 9-month appointment with the expectation that the selected candidate will also teach during the summer term for additional compensation.

The Technical Officer supports laboratory operation and laboratory maintenance; ensuring laboratories are in conducive condition to conduct laboratory classes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily housekeeping and maintenance to ensure safety, cleanliness and tidiness of laboratories. Support Teaching staff and Professional Officers in the set-up of experiments, prepare materials or consumables, troubleshoot, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and software. May be involved in conducting lab experiment and mentoring/coaching students. Assist in procurement

Retail electricity prices have increased faster than the rate of inflation since 2022, and we expect them to continue increasing through 2026, based on forecasts in our Short-Term Energy Outlook. Parts of the country with relatively high electricity prices may experience greater price increases than those with relatively low electricity prices.

Overall, U.S. energy prices rapidly increased from 2020 to 2022 as economic activity recovered after the worst of the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine interrupted energy supply chains. Since 2022, nominal prices for many fuels have declined, particularly for those such as gasoline and heating oil that are tied more closely to crude oil prices, which are affected by international markets. Electricity prices, though, have continued a steady increase.
