The 2018 National Disaster Resilience Conference that will bring together the nation›s foremost voices in the disaster safety and resilience movement on November 7-9 in Clearwater Beach, FL. The Building Resilience Conference is an annual international conference exploring resilience as a useful framework of analysis for how society can cope with the threat of natural and human induced hazards. The 2018 edition is organised by the University of Lisbon, the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and the Global Disaster Resilience Centre at the University of Huddersfield (UK), in association with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).
The ICBR’2018 will take place in historic city of Lisbon in Portugal and the mot for the 2018’s edition is “Risk and Resilience in practice: Vulnerabilities, Displaced People, Local Communities and Heritages”. The goal of the conference is to promote the sharing and discussion on current and future trends in understanding, modeling and managing resilience-related domains.
