* WHAT…Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of northeast New Mexico, including the following counties, northwestern Harding and northeastern Mora. * WHEN…Until 115 AM MDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1013 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen northeast of Wagon Mound along Interstate 25. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding

At 1110 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong winds produced by thunderstorms along a line extending from 3 miles east of Tyro to 3 miles northeast of Okesa to 10 miles west of Wynona to 5 miles southwest of Ralston. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. At 1210 AM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms had produced flash flooding in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. The rain had moved out of the warned area. Kanawha County Emergency Management reported up to three feet of water across New Hope Road near Upper Pinch Road. Water was also going into houses and trailers in that area, but was beginning to recede. The Fire Department was in the area and working their way upstream for potential water rescues. The Elkview mesonet reported 3.39 inches of rainfall between 1014 and 1135 PM. HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE…Emergency management reported.
