The current full-time salary range for this position is $75,301 – $199,722. Starting salary will be commensurate with highest degree, past college-level teaching experience, relevant industry experience and equity within the department.

Percent time: 11%-33% Instructors teaching one course with three hours of lecture per week will normally be appointed at 33% time during the semester; exact percentages depend on contact hours and other assigned duties.

Anticipated start: Fall semester (only) 8/1/25-12/31/25
Spring semester (only) 1/1/26 – 5/31/26
Academic-year appointments 7/1/25 – 6/30/26

Review timeline: The review of applications for fall semester will be be in May, and in October for spring semester.

Percent time: Positions may range from part-time to full-time.

Instructor Pool – Construction, Sustainability & Facilities Management and HVAC – UC Berkeley Extension

Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $1,500 – $3,500 per course. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.
