The Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at Boise State University invites applications for up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions with an anticipated start in Fall 2026. PhD Positions at the University of Ottawa

Position Overview: Dr. Nan Chen currently has multiple PhD positions for Fall 2026 or Winter 2027 in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa.

The candidate should have a background in at least two of the following topics:

Electric vehicle modelling in smart grid (mobility modelling, demand response, etc.); Power system analysis (optimal/stochastic power flow analysis, economic dispatch, etc.); Resource allocation in 5G/6G communication (edge computing, digital twin modelling, network slicing, etc.); Stochastic process (Markov chain, queueing theory, etc.); Optimization techniques (convex, NLP, MINLP, etc.); Emerging machine learning techniques and applications in power engineering or wireless networks.
