The Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is searching for a candidate to join its research faculty as a Research (Associate) Professor in the Department of Clinical and Translational Sciences as part of a multiple-position hiring initiative for “AI-Infused Connected/Autonomous Systems for Medicine and Health Care”.

Beginning in Fall 2025, this research faculty appointment will work with other research faculty and across data science teams to lead the development of data science/AL/ML theory and applications to the broad area of connected autonomous systems with strong focus on medicine and public health.
These areas include but are not limited to:

Solutions for remote patient monitoring. Autonomous diagnostics. Public health monitoring. Smart health facilities. Early detection. Prediction. Advanced imaging. Other biomedical and clinical interests and disciplines. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain a vibrant, externally funded interdisciplinary research
