Job Requirements: 

BS degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, material engineering, or relative field

Knowledge and experience in electrochemical processes

Postdoctoral Position – Fluid-Structure Interaction

A postdoc position is available immediately in the Computational and Theoretical Multiphysics Lab (https://web1.eng.famu.fsu.edu/~kshoele/CTML) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Florida State University related to computational and experimental fluid-structure interaction (FSI) in turbulent flows.

The following skills/certifications/interests are relevant to the position:

Creativity and interest in interdisciplinary research A PhD degree in engineering (especially mechanical, aero, or civil) or related fields (applied mathematics, computational physics). Relevant previous research experience in both CFD and flow experiments. Desirable research skills include FSI, turbulence, and data-driven techniques. Strong oral and written communication skills. Track record of publications and scientific outputs and the ability to work independently.

The J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the College of Engineering, at the Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or tenured assistant/associate/full professor-level position with a nine-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the need and availability of funds, beginning Fall 2025. The department will consider individuals with demonstrated expertise and experience in transport phenomena in biomedical systems; biophotonics; design and advanced manufacturing of medical technologies; surgical and/or therapeutic robotics, including enhanced human performance and rehabilitative technologies; wearable or implantable sensors and energy sources; computational modeling of biocompatible materials; and healthcare AI.

The successful applicants will be required to teach, advise, and mentor graduate students, develop an independent, externally funded research program, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
