Just 4 minutes ago, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Lubin, Lubin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. The tremor was recorded in the afternoon on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at 5:38 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10. km below the surface.
The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.2 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Michałow (pop. 200) located 9 km from the epicenter, Lubin (pop. 77,500) 9 km away, Polkowice (pop. 21,600) 9 km away, Legnica (pop. 106,000) 24 km away, Glogow (pop. 67,300) 27 km away, and Zlotoryja (pop. 15,600) 34 km away. In Boleslawiec (pop. 40,700, 39 km away), Jawor (pop. 23,900, 42 km away), and Wroclaw (pop. 634,900, 76 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
