* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE…A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Coastal Onslow, Duplin, East Carteret, Inland Onslow, Jones, Southern Craven and West Carteret. * WHEN…Until 2 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – Heavy showers and thunderstorms may produce areas of flash flooding. Very heavy rain rates of over 2 inches per hour are possible in training thunderstorms. Widespread rain totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with localized amounts of up to 8 inches
