THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 500 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 1 AM CDT THURSDAY IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA BURT DODGE IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA COLFAX CUMING THURSTON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF DECATUR, FREMONT, LYONS, MACY, OAKLAND, PENDER, SCHUYLER, TEKAMAH, WALTHILL, WEST POINT, WINNEBAGO, AND WISNER.

At 1124 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Spalding to near Wolbach to near Rockville to near Litchfield. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near… Ravenna, Wolbach, Elba, Farwell, Rockville, and Hazard around 1130 PM CDT. St. Paul, Howard City, Cushing, and Boelus around 1135 PM CDT. Dannebrog and Poole around 1140 PM CDT.
