Some of these storms may produce pockets of very heavy rainfall, with totals of 2 to 5 inches possible in the heavier downpours. A few isolated locations may see totals approach or exceed 8 inches. * WHAT…Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of east central New Mexico, including the following counties, southwestern Curry and west central Roosevelt. * WHEN…Until 915 AM MDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 610 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Mainly rural areas of Southwestern
