At 618 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong winds ahead of showers and thunderstorms along a line extending from near RDU International to 7 miles east of Pittsboro to near Siler City. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Raleigh, Cary, Sanford, Smithfield, Pittsboro, Lillington, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, and Dunn.
