For the Angelina River…including Alto, Lufkin…Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE…Angelina River near Lufkin. * WHEN…Until further notice. * IMPACTS…At 165.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for several days with the majority of the gravel access roadway flooded. Boaters and four wheel-operators should use caution traversing both upstream and downstream on the Angelina River as currents can become swift and turbulent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 164.4 feet. – Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet. –

At 923 PM CDT, damaging winds were located along a line extending from 13 miles north of North Platte to Maxwell to near Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD…80 mph wind gusts and blowing dust. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
