At 1217 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles south of Cheyenne Wells, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Cheyenne County in east central Colorado. This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 136 and 145.
