Sun, 4 May 2025, 15:49 | BY: EARTHQUAKEMONITOR

Spain’s Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN) reported a magnitude 3.4 quake in Spain near Utrera, Seville, Andalusia, only 11 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the afternoon on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at 5:37 pm local time at a shallow depth of 28. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.4 as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include El Coronil (pop. 5,000) located 1 km from the epicenter, Utrera (pop. 50,700) 17 km away, Moron de la Frontera (pop. 28,500) 18 km away, El Arahal (pop. 19,600) 23 km away, Los Palacios y Villafranca (pop. 36,800) 26 km away, Dos Hermanas (pop. 122,900) 33 km away, and Alcala de Guadaira (pop. 70,200) 34 km away. In Arcos de la Frontera (pop. 31,200, 39 km away), and Seville (pop. 684,200, 45 km away), the quake was probably not felt.

If you felt it, report it through our site or app right now!
