* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following counties, Madison and Pierce. * WHEN…Until 1015 AM CDT. * IMPACTS…River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 726 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Pierce, Plainview, Battle Creek, Tilden, Meadow Grove, Hadar, Foster, Willow

There is also a Moderate Risk of rip currents for New Hanover and Pender County beaches. * WHERE…In North Carolina, Coastal Pender and Coastal New Hanover Counties. In South Carolina, Coastal Georgetown County. * WHEN…Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS…Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.

* WHAT…Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE…The lower Cape Fear River including downtown Wilmington. * WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS…The lowest portions of USS North Carolina Road and Battleship Road begin to observe minor coastal flooding. Water begins to spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just south of Market Street in downtown Wilmington. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Affected areas listed are based on average tide conditions. Additional locations may experience flooding during periods of heavy rainfall, high winds, or other factors.

At 723 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Kingsmill, or 14 miles south of Pampa, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Locations impacted include… Lefors and Lake Mcclellan.
