At 612 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Although most of the rain has ended across the warned area, a few showers and thunderstorms continue and flash flooding is expected to continue. HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE…Radar. IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include… Christoval and Knickerbocker. This includes the following Low Water Crossings… County Road 113 crossing Dove Creek, Mineral Wells crossing South Concho River and Door Key crossing Pecan Creek.

* WHAT…A long period south swell will bring elevated surf up to 5 feet to south and southwest facing beaches, along with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE…Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. * WHEN…Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS…There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.
