Candidates are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the lab of Prof. Andrew Smith within the Department of Bioengineering and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This position focuses on the preclinical testing of drug delivery systems using quantitative methods of pharmacology in rodent models. Particular emphasis is on drug delivery to immune cells in the context of inflammatory disorders modulated by diet and hormonal changes. Candidates are required to have peer-reviewed publications demonstrating first-hand experience in pharmacological studies in mouse models using quantitative pharmacokinetic and biodistribution analyses. It is preferred that candidates are experienced in creating and maintaining animal protocols, working on multidisciplinary and collaborative team projects, and managing multiple concurrent projects.
