Sustained south winds at 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph will continue through this evening, with isolated gusts to 50 mph possible. The strongest gusts are most likely to occur across southeast Missouri into southwest Illinois. Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. A few tree limbs may also be blown down. High profile vehicles may encounter some driving difficulty, especially on east-west roads.
