An earthquake of magnitude 2.7 occurred only 18 minutes ago 27 km west of Cuneo, Italy, Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 17. km beneath the epicenter near Cuneo, Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy, in the evening on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at 9:35 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 2.9.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Pradleves (pop. 240) located 5 km from the epicenter. In Dronero (pop. 5,500, 12 km away), Borgo San Dalmazzo (pop. 11,100, 24 km away), Cuneo (pop. 56,000, 27 km away), Saluzzo (pop. 16,500, 32 km away), Fossano (pop. 18,800, 42 km away), Savigliano (pop. 16,800, 42 km away), and Mondovi (pop. 21,900, 48 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
