* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Forsyth and Guilford. * WHEN…Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 622 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Kernersville, Clemmons, McLeansville, Lewisville, Walkertown, Pleasant

In southeast Virginia, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry and Sussex. * WHEN…Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 624 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. –

It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 624 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts
