…The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in Arkansas… Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam affecting Logan, Johnson and Franklin Counties. * WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam. * WHEN…Until early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS…At 355.5 feet, the river remains in its banks, but access to Okane Island may be cut off. At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County. Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and livestock should be moved to higher ground. North 5th Street in Logan County near the Six Mile Levee

Flooding leads to some closures along Kellogg Road to the south of Cortland. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 9:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet. – Forecast…The river will continue falling to below flood stage today. Additional rainfall tonight and Friday will cause the river to rise again to near flood stage on Saturday morning. – Flood stage is 8.0 feet. – https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Webster Road north of the gage site may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.4 feet. – Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to around 15 feet Friday afternoon. The river will then rise again to 16.9 feet Sunday morning, which is below flood stage. –
