At 520 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Gordo, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Lake Tuscaloosa, Englewood, Northport, Samantha, Maxwell, Brookwood, McFarland Mall, Caffee Junction, Echola, Lake Lurleen State Park, Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, Tuscaloosa Regional Airport, Oliver Lock And Dam, Lake Tuscaloosa Dam, Lake Wildwood, Fleetwood, Coker, Buhl, Camp Horne B.S.A., and Taylorville.
