* WHAT…Nuisance flooding caused by heavy rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of northeast Georgia, including the following county, Elbert. * WHEN…Until 900 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Near bankfull conditions and high flows will continue on small streams, especially along Wahachee Creek, Falling Creek, and other tributaries of the Broad River. These creeks and others may flood low water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 551 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. At 456 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Pocahontas to near Odebolt to 5 miles east of Mapleton. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Carroll, Denison, Jefferson, Sac City, Audubon, Pocahontas, Rockwell City, Lake City, Manson, Manning, Coon Rapids, Glidden, Lake View, Odebolt, Black Hawk Lake, North Twin Lake, South Twin Lake, Schleswig, Wall Lake, and Manilla.
