At 527 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of Wakefield, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD…Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE…Trained weather spotters. All 5:15 PM CDT, spotters reported hail up to the size of ping pong balls 4 miles west southwest of Wakefield. IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include… Wakefield, Green, and Clay Center.

Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 627 PM AST, emergency management reported high waters from Rio Loco affecting a low-level crossing along road PR-121 between southeastern Sabana Grande, western Yauco, and northeastern Guanica.
