At 223 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles north of Hartwell to 7 miles northeast of Elberton to 8 miles northeast of Lexington. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
