At 1128 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Strickler to 3 miles east of Lee Creek to near Figure Five. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Van Buren, Ozark, Cedarville, Mountainburg, Natural Dam, Alma, West Fork, Mulberry, Dyer, Winslow, Chester, St. Paul, Rudy, Devils Den State Park, Brentwood, Lake Fort Smith, Strickler, Figure Five, Cass, and Blackburn.

Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. At 1114 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles east of Lake Bruin, or 9 miles northwest of Port Gibson, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Tensas Parish in northeastern Louisiana and west central Claiborne Counties.
