At 1116 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Gibbstown, or 10 miles northwest of Grand Chenier, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Hacketts Corner, Sweet Lake, Gibbstown, Holmwood, Lowry, and Bell City.
