The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University invites applications for a part-time lecturer to teach ME 41: Engineering Design II, a junior-level, three-credit course offered in-person during the Fall 2025 semester.

This course focuses on machine applications, component analysis, load analysis, free body diagrams, analytical modeling, finite element analysis, failure modes, stress concentrations, failure theories, machine design component selection, applications, materials, and loading conditions. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, developing assignments and assessments, facilitating two team-based projects, and supporting student learning through office hours and feedback.

The selected candidate will teach one of the scheduled course sections:

– Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00-1:15 PM, or

– Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30-2:45 PM

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University invites applications for a part-time lecturer to teach ES19: Computer Aided Product Design, an undergraduate level, three-credit course offered in-person during the Spring 2026 semester.

This course focuses on 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software with emphasis on the fundamentals of engineering design. Topics include mechanical parts, assemblies, product design, reading and creating engineering drawings, and dimensioning. Experiences are tailored to mechanical engineering and human factors engineering applications.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, developing assignments and assessments, and supporting student learning through office hours and feedback. The course will have two 75-minutes sessions per week.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The state of Arkansas, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration have added four new sites that offer face-to-face help for residents affected by the March 14-15 and April 2-22 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding. Hours are also extended at some sites.

Homeowners and renters in the impacted counties may be eligible for FEMA disaster assistance for losses not covered by insurance. Specialists are available to help you apply for FEMA assistance, review your existing application and submit documents needed to move your application forward.
