An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred only 6 minutes ago 81 km southwest of Pagar Alam, Indonesia, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.
The quake hit at a moderately shallow depth of 33. km beneath the epicenter near Pagar Alam, Lahat Regency, Sumatera Selatan, Indonesia, in the afternoon on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at 5:41 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
