At 922 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles east of Hepler, or 11 miles north of Girard, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Nevada, Fort Scott, Girard, Arma, Mulberry, Arcadia, Bronaugh, Moundville, Richards, Deerfield, Burgess, Metz, Stotesbury, Horton, Croweburg, Oskaloosa, Pawnee Station, Hiattville, Farlington, and Hammond. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 84 and 106.
