The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Monday, including Erie county. A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity. * WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Miami-Dade. * WHEN…Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 424 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms have dissipated. However, light to moderate rainfall will continue over the advisory area with additional rainfall amounts up to half an inch on already 1 to 3 inches of rainfall that has fallen over this area from the thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Therefore, the Urban Flood Advisory will remain in effect until 6 PM EDT
