* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Orleans and St. Tammany and southern Mississippi, including the following counties, Hancock and Pearl River. * WHEN…Until 315 AM CDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1116 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. At 910 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Eagle Mtn, or 12 miles north of Desert Center, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
