At 924 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Vadnais Heights, or 8 miles north of St. Paul, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… St. Paul, Maplewood, Roseville, Oakdale, Shoreview, White Bear Lake, Lino Lakes, Forest Lake, Stillwater, Hugo, Vadnais Heights, New Richmond, Lake Elmo, Mahtomedi, Scandia, Somerset, Osceola, St. Croix Falls, Dresser and Star Prairie.

At 917 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southeast of Blair, or 12 miles west of Black River Falls, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD…Dime to penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of western Jackson County, including the following locations… Franklin, Hixton, Sand Pillow, The Majestic Pines Casino, Hixton Alma Center K O A, Disco, Alma Center, Castle Mound, Vaudreuil, and Perry Creek Recreation Area. This includes Interstate 94 between mile markers 105 and 118.
