At 530 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Castella, or 11 miles south of Mount Shasta. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Castella.

At 630 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Wye, or near Missoula, moving west at 5 mph. HAZARD…Penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Missoula, Lolo, Wye, and Frenchtown. This includes the following highways… Interstate 90 near mile marker 81, and between mile markers 88 and 104. Highway 93 N between mile markers 0 and 4. Highway 93 S between mile markers 87 and 94.
