The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following… WHAT…Air Quality Health Advisory for Wildfire Smoke. WHERE…Routt, Grand, Rio Blanco, Eagle, Garfield, Jackson, western Larimer, western Boulder, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Steamboat Springs, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Meeker, Rangely, Eagle, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Walden, Central City and Georgetown. WHEN…900 AM Tuesday August 05 to 900 AM Wednesday August 06 IMPACTS…Smoke from several fires in Rio Blanco and Garfield Counties will produce areas of moderate to heavy smoke on Monday and Tuesday. The greatest impacts are expected in areas in the immediate vicinity of these fires, particularly in sheltered areas

The greatest impacts will be in sheltered areas and low lying terrain in the immediate vicinity of the fires, along Highway 491 between Dove Creek and Cahone; and in the Stoner Creek drainage and along Highway 145 near Rico.
