The winds will diminish by sunset this evening, but the very dry air will remain in place. We will see poor RH recoveries both this morning and Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity values and very dry fuels, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM MDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA…Fire

* WHAT…Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. * WHERE…Northern beaches of Puerto Rico, from Aguadilla to Fajardo, and Culebra. * WHEN…Through 6 PM AST Monday. * IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to return to safety. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Latest buoy observations show pulses of the northeasterly swell spreading across the local waters. Therefore, the high risk of rip currents was extended.
