IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include… Bamberg, Denmark, Ehrhardt, Cope, Govan, and Bamberg County Airport.

At 629 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Goldston, or 11 miles southeast of Siler City, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Pittsboro and Goldston.

At 628 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Pleasant Hill, or near Elkton, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD…Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. Locations impacted include… Pleasant Hill, Cherry Hill, Zion, Blake, Barksdale, Fair Hill, Lombard, Glen Westover, Calvert, Andora, and Appleton.
