Professor of Practice (open to Tenure Track Assistant Professor)

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) of the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full-time position at one of the following ranks: Professor of Practice, or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, in the area of Mechanical Design. We seek an accomplished practitioner with deep, hands-on experience developing complex, high-performance mechanical systems at scale (e.g., aerospace actuation/landing gear, automotive drivetrains, biomedical devices/robotics, or precision consumer electromechanical assemblies)

The successful candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and extraordinary accomplishments will be considered); or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred; and required for the tenure-track rank).
