Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo De Guzmán, Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic. The tremor was recorded early morning on Monday, September 1st, 2025, at 5:27 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 81.20 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake as well. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 4.5.
