Map of today’s active volcanoes

Etna (Sicily, Italy): Signs of a renewed activity were observed at Etna’s Bocca Nuova summit crater on 20 November 2025, with dark ash being emitted from the eastern inner pit. Similar emissions in the past have often preceded phases of magmatic unrest within this crater.

Bezymianny (Kamchatka): In mid-October, reports from the KB FRC GS RAS indicated an onset of tremor at the volcano, accompanied by a weak thermal anomaly detected in satellite imagery.
The activity continued to intensify, and by mid-November, hot rock avalanches were descending from the lava dome onto the southeastern flank.
These observations indicate an increasing likelihood of a significant eruption.

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): (23 Nov) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: VA AT 20251123/0633Z 6NM SE OF RJFK FL050 EXTD
