The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Next-Generation Technologies for a Sustainable Future. We are seeking an outstanding early-career researcher whose innovative, interdisciplinary work addresses global sustainability challenges through cutting-edge engineering solutions.

The appointed Chair will develop a world-class research program focused on the development, integration, and deployment of next-generation technologies to support sustainability related to environment, infrastructure, and industry.  Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to technological innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Research programs may address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Renewable energy systems, energy storage, and energy management technologies Clean manufacturing and sustainable process engineering Sustainable and resilient infrastructure, urban systems, or climate-resilient design Electrification, hydrogen systems, and decarbonized transportation Intelligent monitoring systems and automation for environmental performance Advanced materials or nanotechnologies or
