An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred only 2 minutes ago 7 km northeast of Lubin, Poland, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 0. km beneath the epicenter near Lubin, Lubin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, in the morning on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at 9:25 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Siedlce (pop. 430) located 5 km from the epicenter, and Lubin (pop. 77,500) 7 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Polkowice (pop. 21,600) located 16 km from the epicenter, Legnica (pop. 106,000) 27 km away, Glogow (pop. 65,400) 28 km away, Zlotoryja (pop. 15,600) 43 km away, and Jawor (pop. 23,900) 44 km away. An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred only 7 minutes ago 87 km northwest of Amahai, Indonesia, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10. km beneath the epicenter near Amahai, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah, Maluku, Indonesia, in the afternoon on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at 4:37 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.5 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Amahai (pop. 47,700) located 87 km from the epicenter, Masohi (pop. 36,400) 88 km away, and Ambon (pop. 347,300) 105 km away.
