An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred only 12 minutes ago 92 km northwest of Dagupan, Philippines, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.
The quake hit at a moderately shallow depth of 32. km beneath the epicenter near Dagupan, Pangasinan, Ilocos, Philippines, around noon on Friday, November 7th, 2025, at 1:23 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Bangan-Oda (pop. 3,500) located 39 km from the epicenter, Agoo (pop. 29,000) 67 km away, Lingayen (pop. 56,600) 83 km away, and Binmaley (pop. 44,000) 86 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Dagupan (pop. 171,300) located 92 km from the epicenter, Aringay (pop. 29,800) 94 km away, San Fernando (pop. 83,000) 98 km away, and Mangaldan (pop. 88,800) 99 km away.
VolcanoDiscovery will automatically update magnitude and depth if these change and follow up if other significant
