Anchorage, Alaska – FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) is now available for residents in the Lower Kuskokwim Regional Educational Attendance Area, Lower Yukon Regional Educational Attendance Area and Northwest Arctic Borough who were affected by the severe storms, flooding and remnants of Typhoon Halong from Oct. 8-13.

If you wish to see if you are eligible for FEMA assistance you will need to apply with FEMA even if you have already registered with the State of Alaska for assistance.

You can apply for FEMA assistance by calling FEMA’s dedicated Alaska Call Center at (866) 342-1699, visiting DisasterAssistance.gov or using the FEMA app. The FEMA Helpline is also available at (800) 621-3362.

In addition to IA, the Lower Kuskokwim Regional Educational Attendance Area, Lower Yukon Regional Educational Attendance Area and Northwest Arctic Borough are approved for FEMA Public Assistance, which provides supplemental grants to state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged.
