Just 27 minutes ago, a 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Anchor Point, Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded in the afternoon on Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at 5:09 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 65 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.7 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.7.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Happy Valley (pop. 590, 35 miles away), Anchor Point (pop. 1,900, 36 miles away), Diamond Ridge (pop. 1,200, 48 miles away), Homer (pop. 5,500, 50 miles away), Cohoe (pop. 1,400, 52 miles away), Kalifornsky (pop. 7,900, 54 miles away), and Fritz Creek (pop. 1,900, 54 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.

If you felt it, report it through our site or app right now!
