Snow showers have begun across the central and eastern Interior. Circle Hot Springs reported a quick 2.4 inches through 9am Friday morning, and 3.0 inches was reported at Chicken. Heavier snow bands embedded within this system will lead to widely varying snow totals across the region. Snow will taper off Saturday night and Sunday. South of the Chatanika River, expect around 2 to 4 inches of snow, including in Fairbanks. In Fairbanks, there is a 30% chance for 4-6+ inches as the heaviest is only about 30 miles northeast.
