This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Alpine to 13 miles west of Afton. These storms were nearly stationary. HAZARD…Very heavy rain is falling from these storms and localized flooding is possible. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Isolated flooding of rural roads, campgrounds, and hiking trails is possible. Locations impacted include… Southern Palisades Reservoir, Diamond Creek Campground, Smokey Canyon Mine, areas near Freedom, and areas near Alpine Airport.
