Just 17 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Hinton, Alberta, Canada. The tremor was recorded around noon on Friday, November 21st, 2025, at 1:49 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 6.2 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Hinton (pop. 9,900) located 39 miles from the epicenter, Grande Cache (pop. 4,000) 48 miles away, and Fox Creek (pop. 2,500) 57 miles away.

Krasheninnikov (Kamchatka, Russia): The Kamchatkan Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT) reported that the eruption continued at Krasheninnikov on 20 November 2025 (local). Gas and vapor plume(s) were reported. A plume of resuspended ash was detected in satellite imagery, extending 190 km to the SE. Lava flows continued to advance down the E flank of the North Cone of the volcano. The aviation alert level remained at “Orange” (level 3 on a 4-level scale). Activity also included: thermal anomaly(ies).
