Job Description:

The Parson Construction Management Program in the College of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology at Weber State University seeks applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position starting January 2026. The program offers both associate and baccalaureate degrees. Rank and tenure will be determined based on experience and credentials of the selected applicant.

We seek candidates who have the desire and potential to be a great teacher and who possess significant relevant industry experience. The Parson Construction Management program (established in 1997) caters to the working professional; as such, all classes are taught in the evening. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to teach classes in at least two, preferably three, of the following areas: construction accounting and finance; construction design and contracts; civil surveying & construction layout; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP); construction planning and scheduling; construction estimating;

Monthly average natural gas spot prices in the northwestern United States reached historic lows in 2025, as ample supply from Canada coincided with subdued regional demand for natural gas-fired electricity. RITEL projects should advance learning research regarding knowledge about principles, processes and mechanisms of teaching and/or learning in the context of a technology-based innovation. This could include research by learning scientists, education researchers, educational psychologists, and cognitive, behavioral and/or social scientists. For teaching, this could include new teaching processes and approaches (e.g., andragogy and pedagogy), relevant to how the proposed technology will be situated in an educational setting.

This research must lead to generalizable knowledge about learning that is beyond a specific system, application or intervention.

Projects that focus on evaluating the effectiveness of a technology-based system or a curriculum/teaching intervention are not in scope for RITEL. Please also see Q7 “What does RITEL not fund?”
